Real estate in NSW is a genuine career, not just a single course. Here's how most people move through it, from their first day as an assistant agent to running their own agency.

The pathway

Each stage builds on the last. You can also join partway through if you already hold a qualification.

Certificate of Registration

Start working as an assistant agent under a licensee's supervision, learning the job from the ground up.

Class 2 Licence

Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. Step up to running licensed activities such as sales or property management in your own right.

Class 1 Licence

Diploma of Property. Take on the most senior real estate licence in NSW, including running or owning your own agency.

Every year after, short CPD modules keep your licence current, whichever class you hold.
